How RoomWroom checks

A listing or a place shows “Checked” with a date only when the RoomWroom team recorded its own check for that date — a visit, a call or a document. A report from a campus scout, a student or the owner is useful evidence, but it never makes a listing “Checked” by itself. Without RoomWroom’s own check a listing shows “Not checked by RoomWroom yet”.

A check is only as current as its date. If a checked listing later moves to a different spot or area, it is marked “Due for a recheck” until someone checks it again.

Each room says whether it is available now, available from a date, expected to become free, full, or waiting to be reconfirmed. “Last confirmed” appears only when someone confirmed it — the owner or their team, the RoomWroom team, or a campus scout whose report RoomWroom approved — and shows that day. Where a room is let bed by bed, its availability comes from its beds.

A listing shows its area and landmark, and its street address or map pin only when it has chosen to show them; distance to campus is shown either way. A location captured on someone’s phone records where and when it was captured — that is a record of where the listing says it is, not a check.

Everyday services such as a mess or a gym usually show their exact location, because they want to be found.

Photos and videos added by owners, their teams or campus scouts are reviewed by RoomWroom before students see them. A video plays only when you tap it.

Rents and service prices are what the place told RoomWroom. Confirm them with the owner or the business before you pay anything.

Rooms and places are listed nearest to the campus first. RoomWroom has no star ratings or reviews today.
